On June 21, 2021, a girls’ scholarship ceremony at Chengzhou Middle School brought together students, educators, local representatives, and the She Unlimited public-interest fund team.
A conversation about possibility
The Cheng County Women’s Federation account names Hang Gao among the fund’s team members attending the event and describes her encouraging students to pursue their dreams and discover their potential.
Recognizing the wider initiative
The ceremony included 45 award recipients at Chengzhou Middle School. The account describes a wider scholarship initiative across multiple schools. This was the fund’s initiative, not an AIWSL program or an individual achievement attributable to Gao alone.
Why this belongs in the founder’s story
The event predates AIWSL’s incorporation. It provides a specific example of Gao’s earlier involvement in girls’ education and community work, complementing the later account of her teacher-support work.
This source documents a 2021 scholarship event. It does not establish a separate 2023 visit to two high schools.
